Distillery bottling, 43% a.b.v.

Nose is distinctly sherried.  Far too warm for this sort of malt.  The dominance of the sherry flavor is to the point that I once remarked “If I wanted a glass of sherry, I would have poured a glass of sherry!”  Young oakiness.  Wood spice.  The older ages are somewhat better, but I cannot understand the 89 to 91 rating that this has received from many reviewers.  For a heavily-sherried malt I would choose the Glendronach 15 Sherry Cask almost any day.
