Tasting notes for Glen Garioch 8 year old

Distillery bottling, 43% a.b.v.

Fairly boring.  Soft in the mouth.  Rye bread, pear, and golden raisin in the nose.  Notes of butterscotch and toffee in the palate, with some wood and grain off-notes.  An easy-drinker.  Perhaps a good transition to single malts if you are used to drinking Jameson.

Suggested for: Aperitif, maybe, or to replace lager
