Tasting notes for Bruichladdich 10 year old (Pre-McEwan bottling)

Official Pre-McEwan bottling, 43% a.b.v.
The nose is clean, showing clean grain and grassy, aldehydic aromas. Fairly soft. The palate is generally uninteresting, tasting of straightforward ‘scotch’ flavors, with a mouthfeel close to half-and-half. Some sour notes appear. In the finish, toasted rye bread, toasted wood, pencil shavings, some light tar. A fairly uninteresting bottle.
