The entry-level Bowmore for the European market, mirroring the U.S. “Legend” bottling. More of an Islay kick in the nose than shown by older Bowmores, with a pepperiness reminiscent of Caol Ila. Hickory smoke. Not very refined. Palate is hot, showing gauze, disinfectant, burn ointment, cooked carrots. An Islay fade-out in the finish, with more gauze.
