"Maine Statehood" sesquicentennial stamps on blue card, cancelled "Lovell Bicentennial Celebration", Lovell ME, November 15 2000.

"Virginia" stamp on white card.  The state seal in the bottom left is my own: I printed it on the card before sending it, not realizing that it would collide with the cancel.  The cancel reads "Celebrating 200 Years of Postal Service", Haymarket VA, November 12 2000.  Zoom in to see how close a match the carts in the stamp and cancel are.

I really like this pair. "Korean War" stamps on covers, cancelled "The Chosin Few: 50th Anniversary Korean War Station", Camp Pendleton CA, December 7 2000 and "The New Jersey Korean War Memorial", Atlantic City NJ, November 13 2000.

"Jewish Participation in the U.S. Civil War" seems a very specific subject for a cancel, but they undeniably did a beautiful job with it.  I prepared a linen-colored card with a stamp depicting "Touro Synagogue", the oldest synagogue in the new world.  In a famous letter from George Washington he writes of the United States that the people will give "To bigotry no sanction, To persecution no assistance."  I think the significance of the words is deepened in the context of the postmark.  Woodbridge NJ, November 12 2000.

"Library of Congress" stamp on vintage Library of Congress postcard, cancelled "Library Stamp Day Station: Salute to the Library of Congress", Prince William VA, November 16 2000.
