"Season's Greetings" stamp on green card, cancelled "An Old-Fashioned Christmas, Historic Square District, Clinton Main Street Station", Clinton MO, November 24 2000.

"Christmas" stamp on card cut from Christmas greeting card (received from my grandparents, actually.)  Cancelled "Christmas Station", St. Bethlehem TN, December 1 2000.  The postal clerk responsible for this was perhaps the nicest I have ever dealt with.  I did not include my telephone number, but she tracked me down and telephoned me at home.  It seems I had mis-measured, exceeding the permitted size of a postcard by about a quarter inch in each dimension.  She asked me what I would like her to do.  I asked her to, if it was not too much trouble, cut the necessary amount of card off the left and bottom.  She did this very carefully, and even included the trimmings in the return envelope to me.

"Season's Greetings" stamp on white card, cancelled "Season's Greetings from Sandwich", Sandwich MA, December 3 2000.  I was originally planning to use a card with a picture of a sandwich on it (I actually went searching for an image of the Florida Orange Juice mascot) but eventually decided against this, as it might be offensive to the Sandwich clerk.

"Christmas" stamp on white card, cancelled "Dawn of the Journey", Nazareth Christmas Station, Nazareth KY, December 26 2000.  A simple one.

"Greetings" stamp on card cut from Christmas greeting card.  Cancelled "Hometown Christmas Station", Corning CA, November 18, 2000.  The village scene depicted on the stamp seemed to match the card perfectly.  The clerk did a horrible job with the cancel originally: most was so light as to be completely illegible, some areas did not deposit ink at all.  I assume the clerk recognized the error because a blank sheet of paper was contained in the return envelope with a perfect cancel imprinted on it.  I was very worried that my solution would not work, but fortunately I succeeded in scanning the good cancel and printing it exactly on top of the bad cancel with an Inkjet printer.  I think it turned out well.
