So as a fun follow-up, after sitting down with an account manager at a bank:

1) I am in chex.
2) They cannot convert my Money Market account to a Regular Savings account, because the Money Market account is not a savings account at all, and I can actually write checks out of it.
3) The monthly fee for the Money Market account, if I do not keep $25k in it, is $25.
4) They cannot open a new checking account nor a new savings account for me, because I am in chex.
5) The account manager was able to sign me up for a "small business checking account" with a deposit of $100, which
6) Has a "fifty-fifty chance" (direct quote) of being closed within two weeks, but if two weeks go by and it's not canceled
7) It's mine to keep.

So other than being essentially entirely wrong, Trevor the [joke removed on preview] was very helpful.

Are you sure that there was an actual human being on the other end of that conversation?

Yes. NLP seems like it should be possible, but it has eaten the careers of some of the smartest people in the world. If you're better at it then Minsky or Hofstadter -- and I'm not excluding that out-of-hand, as you are really good at a lot of stuff -- could you help me pay back loans with the quarter million dollars? If it's not too big of an imposition, that is? kthx.

Are you sure that there was an actual human being on the other end of that conversation? The whole thing reads like you were talking to a chat bot.
