How much do truck drivers make?
Ballpark. Long-haul, UPS (ground transport, not delivery), cargo container, whatever. Owned rigs, companies, whatever. What kind of range are we talking about? The range has gotta be huge, right?

This, was the first hit I got off of Google, and it sounds about right. Maybe higher if you’ve got a decent union.

Ouch. I think they deserve more than that. It’s a high-stress, life-threatening, thankless job, and time away from family. I think they should make what longshoremen make.

The upshot, as I understand it, comes in the form of the all-you-can-fuck buffet of lonely underage gay boys looking for rough trade at the truckstop.
Now that I’ve got my driver’s license, that actually doesn’t sound too bad.

No matter if you just started driving a truck you should never work for under .28 cents per mile. If you are, you are getting ripped off. It does not matter if they helped you get schooling to drive. They are exploiting you if you make under .28 cents per mile.

Thank you @John Wall! To be clear: I’m pretty sure you meant 28¢ ($0.28), which would be $28 per hundred miles — vs. “.28 cents”, which would be 28 cents per hundred miles, yes?
