OK, Joel Schumacher and I are done. I thought we were done after 8MM, then I bought Veronica Guerin (which I didn’t know he directed, and I liked it, Blanchett redeeming it as always), but now I saw The Number 23, which has turned me into a box-reader. Seriously. He can fuck off. His upcoming films are entitled Town Creek, 1:30 Train, and The Crowded Room.

How did it take you this long?
I agree with Bob Mike, although I’ll add:
Batman FOREVER. How did it take you until Batman & Robin?
Also: Phone Booth? Egads. He’s on my shortlist of directors that I won’t watch, with Lasse Hallstrom. And maybe Michael Bay. Sure I want to see giant robots fight each other, but Pearl Harbor? Not sure I can get over that.

Bay’s great with action scenes, I’ll give him that.
